The Child Support Authority is a state agency responsible for establishing and enforcing child and medical support obligations for cases that have been opened with the office under Title IV-D of the Social Security Act. Services are provided to any person who either applies for them or is receiving certain public assistance benefits from the state of Wyoming.
Some of the primary responsibilities of Child Support Enforcement are:
In Wyoming, all child support payments ordered through District Court cases are recorded and tracked in the statewide POSSE system overseen by the Wyoming Department of Family Services State Disbursement Unit (SDU). Teton County child support payments are processed and disbursed through the SDU.
